Before I started Second Floor Flat, I avoided the blogging world for years. There was just something about the idea of being a blogger that felt uncomfortable. It just didn't feel like the right place me.
In 2012 I made a big life change – got married and move abroad. Suddenly I found myself sitting on a new couch in a new country with the same laptop, looking for a creative outlet. In the few years since I began blogging, I've learned that the online community can be an extremely positive, supportive place. It's now a community that I love and am happy to be part of, and a place where I've made real friendships and countless connections.
It's basically the best. (More on that here.)
SECOND FLOOR FLAT NOW SERVES TWO PURPOSES:
As a platform for real women who are as interested in approachable fashion and design as they are in connection, growth, and learning
As a source of discovery and exposure for high quality, independent and emerging designers and makers of all audience sizes
As a blog with a dedicated, growing following, Second Floor Flat aims to provide a platform for independent retailers and designers to showcase their product in a real and genuine way. Product is accepted on a case-by-case basis, and I offer partnership packages of all sizes as well as other options for creative collaborations – social media and the like. In the past, I've worked with brands like:
Shoes.com (also here + here)
Bridge & Burn
California Tailor (also here)
Tradlands (also here)
Dear Kate (also here and here)
and I was voted as one of the best bloggers for genuine partnerships by Blog Society. Cool right?
Above all I strive to keep this blog as real and genuine as possible, and only work with brands that I feel truly benefit my readers.
Thanks for your interest in Second Floor Flat!
Second Floor Flat occasionally works with affiliate partners, which means that certain items I genuinely recommend may earn me a commission. Not into that? Let me know.
