5 Things To See In London: Abney Park Cemetery

London is made for autumn.

There are almost 11,000 acres of green space in the city, so you can imagine what that looks like as the leaves start to change color. Add in some historic, registered buildings and suddenly everything is postcard-perfect.

Luckily, we live around the corner from Abney Park Cemetery and make a point to take weekend walks through this gorgeous graveyard whenever we can.

Here's a look (and listen!) at our walk from this past Sunday, accompanied by late afternoon sunlight and take-away coffees:

6 Things To See In London

Well, hi!

As I spoke about last week, as an expat you're constantly experiencing the feeling of being both on the inside and outside of a country. Now, discussing that topic is like going into a rabbit hole, so let's save it for another day and focus on the pretty pictures.

Even though I moved from Brooklyn to London almost a year and a half ago, there are still so many parts of the city that I've yet to explore. So, each week I'll take you with me around the city, recapping on Mondays with some of the top things to see in London. This week, that list includes the Buckingham Palace gates, the Institute of Contemporary Art, and some of the best coffee in the capital.

7 Things To See In London

One of the things about being an expat is that your adopted country will, in some ways, always feel new. The excitement that comes along with touring a new city or moving to a new place fades, but the curiosity doesn't.

As much as I've now settled into the routine of mostly staying around my north east London neighborhood on the weekends, there are still countless things on my leisure 'to do' list - monuments to see, parks to find, shops to explore.

With that in mind, I'll be starting a new series highlighting my adventures each week living as one of the almost-200,000 American expats in London.

Here are my 7 favorite photos of London, all taken over the past few days. Featuring Tower Bridge (NOT London Bridge), Columbia Road Flower Market, Chinatown, an OG piece of Banksy art, and more:
