Tonight I'm heading off to see Rodriguez in concert (if you haven't seen Searching for Sugarman, watch it this weekend), tomorrow's weather calls for a picnic in Hampstead Heath - a 790 acre park in the middle of London with over 25 ponds (what?) - followed by what promises to be a boozy brunch on Sunday. And yoouuu? Plans or not, here are some good things to know about from the week:
The mid-1970s was a killer time time for music, and in no place more so than New York. (Also, I know nothing about that aside from what I heard in this story. )
I've already gone on about Madewell once this week but man, their sale is great. Look at this silk button-up!
Explore (and shop) La Paz, Bolivia.
A Brooklyn artist who was discovered at the age of 64.
I've been wearing Boots No7 nail polish in Crave Me (yep) all week and can't get enough of it.
Loving Refinery's list of TV's saddest moments.
Ugh, Madewell - how do you do it?
It's like you somehow know what I want to wear before I even realize I want to wear it.
Or, it's like you've gone into my closet, taken the basics, added a few perfect touches (hello, Vans) and made better outfits than I would've.
Because basically, Madewell's Fall 2013 lookbook looks like how I dress but about 900x better.
But seriously, the Sk8er Boi-esque Vans are happening.
