That's a definite perk to what I do for a living. Designer your love? Handbag you covet? No problem. As a fashion journalist, it's literally my job to get the scoop behind my favorite lines. Insert Haerfest interview here:
I spoke to the guys behind the line for SHK Magazine and learned a lot. But honestly, what really stuck with me was their impressive resumes. There are three people involved in Haerfest - two brothers and a dear friend / business partner - and they all hail from different, but crazy impressive industries. One spent time at Patrik Ervell and Opening Ceremony, one cut his teeth working in creative and branding agencies, and one comes from an engineering back ground at IBM.
It's those varied viewpoints - design, branding, and engineering - that make Haerfest what it is: a detailed-oriented label that perfectly marries the cool and the casual, the everyday and luxury, and the utilitarian and stylish.
While Haerfest started with backpacks, they've now expanded into footwear, briefcases, wallets, key fobs, and the like. According to the guys, a line of clothing may be down the line, but only when their current offerings have been perfected. (Which, to me, would be right about now.)
